The CV02 reflective cooling vest ensures thermal comfort when working at high temperatures and safety when visibility is limited. Innovative, modern products designed to support hard-working professionals on construction sites and warehouses, where temperatures reach extreme values ​​in summer. Thanks to advanced cooling technology, this vest allows you to maintain optimal body temperature, which increases work efficiency and improves the user's well-being. The cooling elements remain cold for several hours after activation. The cooling process is based on an innovative material that activates upon contact with water and remains wet and cold for a long time.

CV02 reflective cooling vest product features: 

  • made of technical material in a warning color, whose cooling functions are activated on contact with water,  
  • the vest is reusable and does not require any additional accessories,
  • elements soaked in water do not leak or drip and do not wet the clothes they are on dressed,
  • zipper closure,
  • cooling up to 8 hours after installation,
  • EN certificate20471 Class 2.

How to use the CV02 reflective cooling vest?

  • prepare a bowl of cold, clean water,
  • wet the vest and let it soak in water thoroughly,
  • take out the vest and wring it out of excess water,
  • wave the vest in the air to better activate the cooling function,
  • the vest is ready for use, if it dries, dip it in water again and repeat the entire process.

Is the CV02 reflective vest really cool and does it leak water?

In testing carried out at Balticbhp, we tested Portwest cooling accessories at an ambient temperature of 31 degrees for 90 minutes. After this time of wearing, the products were still wet and provided a constant level of cooling. When properly squeezed, the material does not leak, drip or wet the clothes it is applied to. Cooling products work great.

Safety warnings:

  • The product is not intended for children – protective and work clothing is designed exclusively for adults, in sizes and construction tailored to the needs of employees.

  • Reflective clothing:
    • Reflective elements lose their effectiveness when they become dirty, wet, discolored or mechanically worn.
    • Use in conditions of limited visibility requires adequate lighting and a contrasting background.
    • Reflective elements must not be covered with other clothing or accessories.
  • Clothing to protect against cold:
    • Provides protection only within the range specified in the EN 342 or EN 14058 standards – it does not guarantee safety at extremely low temperatures, below the manufacturer's parameters.
    • Layer your clothing as recommended to avoid the risk of hypothermia.
    • Getting winter clothing wet can significantly reduce its insulating properties.
  • Rainwear:
    • Maintaining waterproofness depends on the correct fastening of all elements (zippers, Velcro, buttons, protective strips).
    • Mechanical damage, prolonged use or washing at high temperatures may reduce the level of water resistance.
    • Intense physical activity can cause moisture to accumulate inside clothing, requiring the use of breathable clothing or intermediate layers.
  • Thermal underwear:
    • Does not provide protection against direct contact with chemical, thermal or mechanical factors.
    • The effectiveness of moisture wicking depends on the proper fit to the body.
    • Excessive stretching or damage to the material may reduce its performance properties.
  • Maintenance and cleaning:
    • Failure to follow washing, drying or storage instructions may result in loss of protective properties.
    • The use of chemicals not recommended by the manufacturer (e.g. bleach, solvents) may permanently damage fabrics and protective elements.
  • Clothing exchange:
    • Clothing that is worn, frayed, mechanically damaged or has visibly deteriorated reflective elements should be replaced immediately.
    • Regularly checking the condition of clothing is crucial to maintaining the user's safety.
