Check whether the trousers you are viewing have waist adjustments or an elastic waist system and take this into account when measuring and selecting the sizes.

How to measure yourself in the hips? Some manufacturers give an additional value in the size charts - this is the circumference of the hips. Use a tailor's tape measure to measure the circumference at its widest point. Take the measurement in underwear - trousers, e.g. with holster pockets, may distort the result.
